I get bullyed almost everyday by the guys at school. I hate it, but when I protest, they hit me, or punch me. I have gone to the teachers, but they don't believe me as I am not a very good student. I have told my parents as well but they tell me to ignore them. I am 14 and in Yr.8. What can I do?

Firstly, I don't recommend that you get into a fight unless you are confident of your ability to defend yourself, but there is one common characteristic about bullies: They're usually cowards and travel in numbers and if you stand up to them (don't complain, act confidently), they often back off.
- However, you should learn a few DEFENSIVE moves - either in a martial arts or self-defence class. Learn how to ward off a punch or kick.
- Try to choose where you are going to be bullied and make it a public place where some teacher / principal is going to see it.
- If you think they carry weapons, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT do anything that may escalate the bullying to severe violence. You're better off running away and avoiding the situation if that's going to happen. You could report them to the cops if you know they have weapons and get them evicted from school.
- Bullies are usually very insecure about themselves and if you can get one of them alone, you may be able to talk him down and come to terms with him.

The Only Reason That They Pick On You Is That You Probably Get Mad When They Do It... Your Parents Are Probably The Ones You Should Listen Too, So When They Pick On You Again Don't Get Mad. Just Walk Away, They'll Eventually Get Bored And Won't Pick On Ya Anymore... I Personally Stick Up To The People That Are Being Bullied, Hate When People Do That, Well Have Fun Man

If your teachers and the school won't help and your parents just tell you to ignore them, you are not left with many choices. You do not want to do anything that will land you in Juvenile Detention or expelled from school.
Something to try is when they start talking to you, get away from them if you can. Try to stay with your friends. You have already said you tried to stand up to them and it did not help. If you cannot get away from them, you can try yelling at them. Does not really matter what you yell. Just yell so an adult will hear you.
Yell:
"What the heck do you want my stuff for??? Are your parents too poorto buy you things?"
"Why are you trying to touch me? What is wrong with you?" Get your hands off me?
"Hey, Stop that!: STOP STOP STOP. Are you crazy? Do you want to end up in a mental hospital?

I am sooo sorry about this. You should go to your counselor or principle. If you say that you aren't a very good student so thats why your teachers wont help go to you principle b/c he/she doesn't know how you act in class. So they should help. Tell your parents that it is soo harsh that you can't ignore it, you need help and you except the people who love you the most to be there by yourside. I hope that these mean people stop.

i understand ur annoyance with the system i never had a bullying situation but when teachers try to with hold my school certificate cause i didnt pay the school fees, this they could do, so i rang up the board of education, so if you have told you bullies that annoys you and informed teachers and they have done nothing i say inform the school bored and say i want something done the teachers ignore maybe threaten legal action.

As a former bully, I know what you are going through. I used to use kids as spies to tell me what my enemies were planning, so I would not be jumped. Could you do this, or make friends with thier enemies if they have any. Otherwise, if you cant avoid them you have to wait for them to become bored, unless, you can beat at least one of them. Have you tried the principal, he was always the one to confront me, when I was in school, you may have better luck with him.

Get some evidence! Tape a bullying session, take a picture, whatever it takes. Then go to the teachers or school principal.

I used to be a bully....so what u should do is....talk about them,bully back. Make thenm look stupid...stay around teachers...have others testify on your behalf....ignoring only helps like 10% of the time....Try to freak them out...act as if gay...grab ones nuts hard....give into it and it sounds dumb but it could actually help....Sorry that you have to go through that...ne more questions just contact me

Tell another teacher in writing signed by your friends who have witnessed it. If you get beat up again, report it to the principle with a copy to the cops.

you shouldnt have to put up with this weather your a good student or not......go to the education department and report the school for not taking it seriously and tell your parents to take it more seriously too. I wouldnt let my son go through that. your other option is take karate classes and give them their own back.
