different how about pansies! They are bright, they don't have a strong odor or sent, there edible and delicate. Lillie's and roses are common everyone has those I did. But I have fallen in love peonies and pansies. Jasmine, orange blossoms and gardenias have a wonderfull smell, The combination would be incredible. Congratulations on the wedding and I wish you all the happiness in the world.

Hydrangeas! Oh my gosh my two favorite flowers are peonies and hydrangeas. The come in a wide variety of intese colors as well as pale ones. You can even buy the entire plant OR just by the stems. Alot of really humid climates and coastal climates have these growing like crazy. I happen to know that they grow well in Alabama and Oregon.

By the way...I grew up with a mom who is a florist so I have pretty great taste. LOL

My choice for a classy and yet contemporary wedding would be vines of vinca for their deep green foliage and beautiful flowers of intense color They mix and match well with almost any color scheme as they come in a variety of color.they are not so big as to be the focal point (that spot is for the bride) and yet you could place them anywhere and it would have a dramatic effect. They are not a common wedding flower so it would be a little different yet beautiful.

I would suggest a bouquet of calla lilies, lisianthus and lily of the valley, with a bird of paradise thrown in. Very contemporary and classy.Congrats and enjoy your special day.

then why dont you just have a variety of flowers. but stick w/ whatever colors your wedding is going to be backgrounded in. if you get a lot of colors it will look tacky, TRUST ME..

When is your wedding? Are lilac sprays an option? They come in white as well as lavender.

Orchids are very nice, but expensive. Callow Lillies are pretty as well.
