so do i?????????? and what mother board to you reccomend if i do need. (For a laptop)

This Info would be for a Desktop:

For an AMD setup you would need either a socket 939 motherboard or the newer AM2 with a matching Dual Core CPU

Someone mentioned that you can't change a laptop's motherboard and he/she is absolutely correct. If you want to try a better CPU, at least for laptops, then you might as well buy a brand new laptop. Economically, buying a new laptop is the wise choice.

you cna't change the motherboard in the laptop, except wwith another of the same that is in it, they are made specially for that case. You will have to get a new laptop with what you want in it

Intel 975 chipset based motherboards.
but i am not sure if it can be used in laptops or not

go to anandtech.com and join the forums.....it's filled with geeks that live (literally) for this kind of thing. you'll get much better advice there.
