It is really hard to say which is easier because we all have different talents and it depends on the indivisual so try them both and see which is eaiser for you

I would say piano for the reason that you have to co-ordinate both hands and a foot for the pedals. With Guitar (which I've played for almost 40 years and taught myself) you only have to manage chords with one hand while strumming with the other. That is, unless of course you want to play lead guitar, at which point you will have to learn guitar scales like you would on a piano, and learn the accuracy to pick the right strings for the scales.
Overall, I would say that playing piano would be harder for the reason stated above. I am a working musician and do some keyboard work, and I can tell you, the coordination required is much more demanding on a piano than on a guitar.

I have dealt with both. On the one hand, piano requires a more immediate manual dexterity due to the use of the left hand for the lower octaves, whereas the right hand can start strumming in guitar. But musically the guitar has it's own challenges because of the tuning. My basic rule is: keep your satisfaction level above your frustration level. This can be done by finding a simple tune, and play it. until you are good at it. i.e: E/A/B

Playing Rock and Roll is easier on the guitar than piano cause on piano the left and right hands have to play different parts -- it's kind of hard to explain as far as classical music they are both hard,

I can't believe all of you are saying guitar! I say piano is harder because you have to use your left hand for the bass.

Guitar. I pretty much taught myself piano. I'm still working on the F chord on the guitar. As long as you can read music and know which key is which on the keyboard, piano is cake.

I would have to say guitar. I have been playing piano since I was in the 7th grade.

Guitar, in my opinion. With piano, it is easier to see all the notes you are playing and how the chords line up.

Piano is not as rough on the fingers as the guitar, but once you've developed finger callouses it's not that hard.
