Kinsey's studies showed that there are very few people who are 100% straight or 100% gay. I've been out of the closet since I was 18 (I'm 37 now). I've never been with a man, but I do occassionally have fantasies about them...and I do find them attractive. However I still identify myself as a lesbian...though I occassionally will question it myself. It's hard when there are social pressures that you have to be one or the other, but (as Kinsey's studies showed) you really don't have to be and perhaps aren't by nature. It's possible that you may be bisexual. And, really, does it matter? There is no rule that says you should or shouldn't be with a man if you're curious. It's ok to be gay, straight, or bi...just be yourself...and be truly honest with yourself. Don't pressure yourself either way.

So, you have never actually dated anyone other than another lesbian? I'm assuming you are still a teenager. You should try dating men for a while, just to make sure, since many people who think they are gay, just think so because someone told them they are, or because its the "in" thing to do. The incidence of so called homosexuality these days is too high to be actual. Andn before you start going on , i have to tell you that I'm not saying this because I'm bigotted , my sister is lesbian, and we have known it for years.

Some people are just born gay. My sister is a lesbian, she has been with men, but she is very much in love with a woman and has always been attracted to men. If you cringe thinking about being with a man, don't worry there is nothing at all wrong with being gay.....try not to listen to people if they tell you otherwise.

Silly girl if you're in love don't lose it by now thinking you might be on the wrong path. I mean if guys are gross to you then you probably are a lesbian. However, if you are ever to lose your love and still have the feelings you're having now, that would be the time to experiment. Plus, if you were really in love with her you wouldn't question it. Ask God for help! Just pray. ;)

It is possible that you're bisexual. If you engage in activities with a guy, and return for more (with a guy) whilst still retaining your attraction towards women then you are bisexual.
If you stop responding sexually/romantically towards women (and lose attraction) as a result of engaging with a guy, then it would mean you are straight.
It is possible for people's sexual orientation to change during the course of their lives (not through any assisted process though), or for people to "rediscover" themselves.
Also, you could be experiencing bicurious feelings.

It sounds to me like you aren't sure what you are. I think it's just you're curiosity. You are clearly still a teenager and that's usually too young to be completely certainer of you're orientation. Just go with the flow and be happy with what you are, or whatever you turn out to be.
As for judy_r8, I don't think that it has ever been "in" to be gay. At least not where I live.

You don't seem to be les...... only confused. Why do you put yourself in one compartment or the other. These are all natural urges.. you may be attracted to a girl at one time and a guy the next time. If you're scared of the extra 'burden' he'll bring, believe it you'll enjoy it all the more. You can get familiar only when you indulge in it. Good luck.

you know that we think about sex and orientation wrong? there really isn't any such thing as "homosexual" or "heterosexual" - EVERYONE is born Bisexual. yes, most of us have leanings (I am straight, my sister is a lesbian) but we are still HARDWIRED to in some way react to both. Look at Bonobos (a type of monkey). you are probably curious as to what the fuss is about, and there may be a part of you that wants it with a guy... but that doesn't make you straight.

Hey I'm straight and looking at a guys winky does nothing for me...it looks like it's an intestine that fell outside of his body...and don't get me started on the testes. If it turns you on to go down on a girl...you are gay.

honestly, there are alot of things another girl can do for a girl, that guys really can't (im a guy) and im willing to admit that. guys however will always love you (sometimes we may not act it) but you never will know untill you have given it a chance. i mean im sure even if you've been a lesbian for a while, you have alot of guy freinds, talk to them, talk to me, talk to any guy just see if any feelings can evolve if not thats fine, and you will know your answer, if something does start to arise, maybe you should consider that you are bi. i know alot of healthy lesbian couples that have 3somes (or just have a guy around occasionally) just for a little variance a little side fun, i also know alot of striaght couples who the husban wants his wife to just have fun with another lady, he doesnt even have to be a part of it, i know if i were with a girl and she wanted/needed to do things with another girl id be all for her having fun and letting her enjoy herself, hell if they BOTH wanted to just use me as some little toy, thats fine... as long as shes happy :)
