yes. some girls mature much faster then others. I was shaving my legs when i was eight, and started my period when i was ten. YOur her mom...you know what she needs to do...imagine when you were her age, and when you first grew under arm hair. Don't make it a big deal, and keep it between you and her. Also, show her how to do it...you are her mother.....It will make her trust you more, and feel more open to discuss things with....and i promise you want that!

Just let her. She might be growing faster than other kids and she just might be ready to shave. Plus, i don't think it will really harm her so just give it a try, and after that, if you don't like how it's going then stop. This would also stop a lot of the teasing.

well if she is getting teased i don't see why she can't take that step, 10 is a bit young but some girls develop alot faster than others and she may be one of them. sit her down let her know the responsibilities of shaving, how she has to be consistent and so on. if she is getting teased it would lower her self esteem alot..but as her parent you make the assessment about whether or not she is ready for it..and go for it!

YES. Teach her how to do it safely. Tell her also that she is not allowed to share lady shavers with anybody. And when she starts, that is about daily routine then. There is not reason to let other kids to have a change to tease her. This way she is also able to keep herself fresher. Buy her deodorants for sensitive skin now when she is "breaking into shaving".

Children being teased at a young age can affect there self esteem later on in life all I can say is show her how to shave and allow her to do it.

10 is young but I think you should. I was teased when I was a little girl for hair so I know how if feels. It truly is awful. I think you should let her but I would make sure that you show her how & I would even watch her the first few times she does it herself to make sure she doesnt get hurt. Best of luck. God bless.

i was also teased heavily. i wasn't allowed to shave until i was 12. period. i needed to from when i was 9 or 10. if she's the subject of ridicule, and it's affecting her self esteem, show her how. if it's not that bad, or she's not bothered by it, then you make the call. if she's mature enough to understand it all, sit her down and talk to her, and find out how she feels. she may not even want to yet.

if she's growing hair then yes but help her to show her how. I had to wait till I was 13 and I got teased so bad that I wouldn't even wear a bathing suit. It's hard on them. Let her do it.
