Insert ur hp restore disc and restart ur system and keep pressing 'y' once the system turns black and hold it till something appears on the screen but if u dont have a cd press F10 when u start the system it takes u to system restore.

i'd advice you to get DELL, i'm a DSL technician and maximum of shoppers are having instantaneous problems with there HP notebooks. besides the undeniable fact that it's not so instantly ahead on a DELL laptop.

I believe its F10 right when u turn the computer on, could be F11
Just keep hitting them until the screen comes up

Restart your computer,
when it says HP or whatever .
(LIKE MINE!) it should say on the bottom,
SYSTEM RECOVERY (and tell you what button to push)
That should do it.
Or like mine
when i got it, i made a recovery disc.
if you did, then use that

Well sometimes viruses get into all of your copied files for system restore,,try this, and if it finds something then follow the path and delete it yourself.. you can email me if you need more help...

when ever you put your recovery disk in restart and when it restarts hold down your control button it should get your disk starting and then i would do a complete recovery make it new like it was when u bought it.
