I went through that last month. I skipped 2 periods, then the next time I had it was for 2 weeks, stopped for about 2 days, then started again. I just had another period last week & today started having cramps again. Mine are really heavy now, like i need to get up in the middle of the night to change & once more early in the morning. It's gross, and uncomfortable, and makes me lose sleep.
I am 35, and I am sadly just beginning the perimenopausal stages.
My recommendation is to go to the gyno. Even if you're like me & starting menopause, you need to make sure.
They also gave me a pregnancy test, but I knew that wouldn't be the problem as my guy has been fixed for almost 20 years.
Feel free to contact me with any further questions or comments. I know it can be embarresing to discuss this on this site, so don't worry about emailing me.
Good luck, and I hope it all turns out to be nothing major...which could be STRESS! It's a real killer to your body in more ways than you know!

I use to have really weird periods, they would last a month at a time. The doctor told me to take 2 Advil a day during my period, and I have not had the problem since. Try that, but still go to the doctor. It could also be a cyst on your ovaries. But the Advil will help, don't know why exactly, but to this day I still take the two a day during my cycle and it works. When I forget or don't take them, it gets all messed up again.

I believe it sounds like you have an infection of some sort or that you are slightly hemorragin, could also have to do with your hormones.. I am sure the doctor will give you a shot to stop it or offer you some birth control or hormone pills.

Sorry i dont kno what it could be, however if your body is aching then thats probably because you're anemic.
You didnt tell us your age so if you're older then maybe it could be menopause related?
Sorry not much help.

Maybe you have an infeccion. But it would be better to ask a doctor. It might be something serious.
