Doubtful. Mattel has a kind of narrow standard on what Barbie should be/look like, even though the My Scene line seems to be going outside the lines a little bit. The closest commercially produced Barbie doll I've seen to goth is the Rock Star Barbie doll who came in a little pink plaid skirt and black top.
However, there are lots and lots of one-of-a-kind doll artists that create goth and punk style Barbie and fashion dolls that you might find interesting. Check eBay - go to Dolls & Bears --> Dolls --> Barbie Contemporary --> Barbie Dolls --> Artist Dolls/OOAK and search for goth or punk.

I don't know about Barbie dolls, but they already make some non -conventional dolls. There's the BeGoths line of dolls (www.begoths.com) which has dozens of goth dolls out. There are also the Living Dead Dolls (www.livingdeaddolls.com) which are like dolls gone evil. I'm sure there are plenty more companies that do off beat Barbie-like dolls.

I'd rather deface my own old barbies rather than buy new ones. I could probably turn her hair into a mohawk or something and marker up her face... I'd really hate it though if Barbie started making "punk" or "gothic" barbies.

There is no such thing as punk or goth unless you mean those stereotypes. I highly doubt they'd make a steriotypical Barbie doll.

all you need is creativity.
me and my friend made all kinds of barbies with my sister's barbies.
alien barbie (green paint), headless barbie, car crash barbie, pro wrestler barbie (used head of teresa, body of ken, and legs of teresa), serial killer barbie, stripper barbie, ect.
the list goes on and on.
i'm sure with fabric from walmart, you could make any barbie you want (dont forget a soldering iron, makes good shapes and melts barbies easily

I highly doubt it. That'd be awsome and I'd buy it but I really don't think they will. Barbie is way to valley girl.
