Yet it isn't okay for white fols to say something bad about a black person. Isn't this a double standard? Aren't blacks being racist themselves? Does this have something to do with blacks thinking that white people owe it to them?

Thay pretty well hits it on the head. They think white people owe them. It is a double standard but wont change in the near future. For example Ray Nagin saying New Orleans was a chocolate city, if a white had of said the same exact remark there would be HE** to pay.

I'm black and I took offense to your last sentence abt thinking whites owe me anything/ NOBODY owes me anything and NOBODY ever will. Some blacks pin their failures and miseries on things that happened years ago,but not all of us. The only thing you owe some of the rational ones on here right now is an apology for generalizing.Did I call you trailer trash? I DON'T THINK SO.
Why would I think some stranger I never met owes me something? Not trying to raise some hairs here, but how about we all, blacks and whites both start thinking we owe the American Indians since they were the ones displaced and are still being displaced?
Besides, what do you classify as a racist comment against whites? The whole y'all can't dance thing? because that's as far as I'll take it. Other than that,I don't give a rat's *** about whites, blacks, greens or yellow not when I'm trying to survive. WHO THE HECK HAS TIME FOR CRA|p LIKE THAT. GET OVER YOURSELVES

I ask this question myself sometimes and yes I do get insulted when a racist remark is made toward my family or myself. Maybe some black folk think its okay to make these remark because of their ancestors slavery but what about the white folks whose ancestors also were slaves. My family tree is littered with slavery, brutality, terror...Native American, German Jew, European Slave...all those words pertain to my family tree...but you will not see me walk up to a black person and say "what up N~~~~" or call a white person "white cracker". And what is up with the term "white cracker"....cracker means white so by calling someone a "white cracker" you're calling that person a white white....can I say didn't pass 2nd grade english here. But you know what black people don't only say racist remarks about white folks they also do it to themselves...each other...and its not just them...white folks are just as bad about saying racist remarks about black folks and each other. Then lets not forget the indians, asians, and other folks out there.
No its not okay for anyone to say racist remarks but people still do it. The question of course is really WHY they do it? Do they do it to make themselves feel better, smarter, more of a human? Or do they do it because that is what is taught to them by their parents and friends? The world will never know. But one thing is for certain...until all the racism and hateful spitful hurtful words and deeds are taken out of the picture this world Earth will never know peace.

I am sorry but I totally disagree with the person that said we owe the black people something. Slavery has been done for over 100 years and black people now need to move on. Their ancestors are owed something, not them. Stop making excuses and make something of yourself. And it is NOT ok to make racist comments about anyone, every race has been enslaved at one time or another and that doesn't give anyone a right to be rude and ignorant.

Like with every problem like this, it isn't everyone who does it, only a handful of each. My husband works in a factory where it seems to be more black. He talks to all of them, but I have noticed that when he talks to the white guys, he is one way and when he talks to the black guys, he talks using a little more slang and appears more laid back.

It is a racial thing though. I'm white and if I walked up and called a black one of the names that many of them call each other, I would probably end up in the ER, depending on the person I was talking to.

I don't like that blacks are still called the minority. That use to be true but it isn't any longer. People have felt bad for things that happened in the past and they are still trying to make up for it. The thing is, we don't owe each other anything other then respect, and that is just for someone to deserves it. No one came into American free and clear. All of our ancestors have had to fight to be free. We are still doing it today, only it is all races working together.

Its not okay for a black person to say give racial discriminative remarks about white people, but some white people do the same thing. Its not right on either part, but there should be peace among ALL races.

I live in North Carolina and I must be lost or living in a real freaky town or something cause I have friends from every race..We don't see to much stuff like that here. Must just be a real small town and we have all known each other forever or something.???
But no it's not right for anyone to call any person names. It's rude.
☺

Not all black people are racist, you are making an overgeneralization about another race, which seems to make you racist, unless your black yourself, cause then that would make this question really weird. I think that it's okay for people of the black race to go a little over with that stuff, cause I feel bad for what white people did (yes, I'm white) to them. But when it goes to them killing white people in return, that's a little far.

Because Caucasian society is training and programming African-Americans to be so offensive hat noone will like them. That's why Caucasians used to practically torture African-Americans back when all they ever sang was church songs. Now that all they ever sing is Gangsta Rap and gratuitous sex songs, everything is okay.

If there IS such a place as Heaven, African-Americans might have a Hell of a time getting in there..... you know...... unless someone speaks on their behalf....... and against the Jerks responsible for this manipulation.

I'm black and it's not ok for any race to say racist remarks about anyone. Racism is racism no matter what your race is and it all boils down to the ignorance of the racist individuals, not the whole race.
