Engine oil serves three purposes: lubricate moving parts, clean moving parts (yes, contaminants enter your engine that seep past your piston rings and intake valves) and finally oil helps remove heat. When using dirty oil, friction is increased which of course raises temperatures.

Used oil is a listed by OSHA as a health hazard. Can you imagine what used oil does to your bearings, seals, gears, etc? The acidic properties cause premature wear if the oil is not changed on a regular basis.

Good luck.

The oil will begin to break down and dirt that comes in through the air intake will mix with the oil. Once this happens the dirt particles that aren't trapped by the oil filter will begin to wear away at vital engine components like bearings and piston walls. The friction will also cause the engine components to overheat which could possibly cause engine to seize up.

the oil will become dirty and circulate throughout the engine. and if it runs out of oil, your engine will die, and there is no fixing it. you should change your oil every 3000 miles, 5000 being the max time you wait. it will pay off in the long run because your car will run better and longer.
