Are women in high places respected and treated well?

Example: CEO of a company, Judges, etc....
Do you trust their final word on things?
I respect them, but I'm just wondering what the average person thinks.

I as a man have a great deal of respect for woman of authority, they have earned the position and thereby deserve the respect

Yes, women in high positions are treated and respected well. They will not be where they are now if they do not know what they are doing. They got there for a reason and if they are not at all respected, they will not be there.

You see, leading is not only a male thing, as much as men can be great leaders, so can women.

Regardless of gender, anyone who exhibits the capacity to be good leaders, to know the directions to take and who can push his / her company further than where it is at, can be worthy leaders. More and more women are becoming CEOs these days because they are up to the task.

Personally, I also see myself the CEO of the company I am working for now. It is a long shot but entirely not impossible. :)

i dont think so Rose...although all government policies make a woman to higher position but respecting them and giving them some challengable job is qustionable...especially in India. According to rules and regulations women are given good positions but they are not given decision making jobs...for example they will be promoted to Director General of Police, the topmost rank of a state but you know they will be looking after protection of bus transport or oil refinery unit...this is the pity

Yes they are usually respected by both men and women (in many cases; hower, their husbands (men) hold possitions even higher then them).
