actually, its a very classy dress, with diamonds on the waiste{in rings on both sides} and diamonds all on the speghetti straps. i think black and white weddings are really formal, and classy, and modern.

My daughter's bridesmaids wore black.....it was a very elegant wedding.....the flower girls wore black tea-length dresses with red rose petals floating in the tewell skirts. They carried little black purses and dropped red rose petals. In fact, I wore a black halter dress with a white collar and rhinestone buttons. It was simply gorgeous! We had more compliments than you can imagine. As far as I'm concerned.....black means elegance and class. Go for it.....it's your wedding! I guarantee......your wedding will be the talk of the town!

No - this is actually a really really good idea, because the most common bridesmaid complaint is that they can never wear that dress again - if they are simple black dresses, then they would absolutely be able to wear them again.

What does it matter what the color? One of the LEAST important things in life is what color something is! (I know, I know, ladies. But if black is what YOU want- it's YOUR wedding- then go for it.) I have never understood this obsession with what color something is. Doesn't matter at all. I can paint my entire house in far less time than it takes my bride to decide what color she wants it painted! Couldn't tell you what color the carpet is in the house because it isn't important. That's a man's input, though.

Its your wedding, you can do whatever you want! My wedding dress was black, velvet with long skirt and spaghetti straps. Got it at the Cancer Society thrift store for $18.00. Of course, paid $245.00 to get it altered!
I think black dresses would be stunning. Go for it!

No. If you want black, its your call. Traditionally, black and white weddings are very formal evening weddings; but it's your day, do what you want! :)

That depends on if your wedding is doubling as somebody else's funeral.
