Just save all your stuff, your pictures, your files, your music... Put them onto a CD. Then just insert the boot disk you got when you bought the PC and click next, next, next, next... and it will reinstall windows as if your computer was brand new...
Once apon a time i totally messed up my PC by installing Linux Mandrake, i just put the CD i got into the computer, restarted it, and it sorted everything out, like, back to normal...
Also... BUY A MAC!! I have a Mac now. I used to use PC
s. Macs have hardly any viruses and are much faster and more simple to use.

Limey said it. Save all the files you want to keep, then turn put your operating system boot disc in the cd drive and turn the computer off then boot with it. It should give you the program opening up to system recover. That will erase everything and make your computer like new. That means any programs that you have that didn't come with the computer when it was made will have to be reinstalled from their discs or downloads. Then I suggest as soon as you have a firewall set up from your disc if you have it already or once you buy a firewall from the store, then go online to downloads.com and download two free protection programs, the first is "Spybot Search and Destroy", the second is whatever program you choose to download (or instead install from disk) as your virus scanner to remove viruses as soon as they get accidentally on your computer from online risks. Then I suggest you be careful about going to websites that you don't associate as trusted big companies. In fact you might try pressing F10 when you boot and see if that gets it to system recover even without the disk if you have a Compaq. And if the boot disk doesn't work try pressing F10 when you boot as it might need it to prompt the system recover.

Typically (depending on the brand of PC) you just put the first CD in the CD drive and restart the computer. If it's an HP or Compaq, you may need to watch carefully during HP/Compaq screen when it first comes on. You may have to press F10 for "System Recovery". Ultimately, you have to boot the computer to that first CD. From there, it should be very user-friendly and will ask you for CD 2, CD 3, and so on.
If you don't have to press a key for the recovery to start and the computer doesn't automatically boot to the CD, restart the computer (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and look for an option that may say "Boot Menu F10" or something like that and choose your CD drive. Otherwise, you'll need to watch for "Setup F2" or it may be Del or F1, or something else. Be very careful what you change in "setup"...you just need to change the boot order to boot to the CD first.
Goodluck!

The first thing I would do is run an anti-virus check, (I'm taking it you don't have one already on) you can get free anti-virus programs of the net. 1) AVG anti-virus or try panda anti-virus or even microsoft has tools to remove virus, go to microsoft update windows should find it there. If none of the above help then back all your documents etc that you wish to keep and re-formatt your hard drive, if you do this I strongley advise you to install a anti-virus progame and firewall to prevent this happening again. :)
