Yes and no. Let me expalin. Everything was going fine for the Mavericks. They won their two games at home. They were in control of game 3 up until 5 1/2 minutes but they got relaxed, Wade took over and lost that game. Then had a terrible game five, which you can be allowed one in a 7 game series, the Heat had theirs in game 2. So that was the Mavs way of losing the momentum. Now we really have a game and a series in game 5. But that is when and I think the refs did have something to do with the win. The touch fouls on Wade, the over and back, etc... we have all heard and seen before. But now the Heat have all the momentum going into Game 6. (And this is the first time I have seen this in the finals and I am surpised it has not happened more often, but with the 2-3-2 format, this should give the non-home-court advantaged team a huge advantage if you think about it. Just win your 3 home games in a row at home and take that momentum and win the 6th. I think pat Riley was thinking this the whole time.) Now the Mavs could have done one of two things. Used that anger and have a hell of a Game 6, or used that anger to totally fall apart. I think they did have a pretty good game 6 but the Heat countered everything the Mavs gave them. And Wade is still getting the touch calls because they have to be consistent with the other games. But all in all it was a close game. The Mavs almost won it. But "they" lost this game, not the refs. I really think they became the Mavs of old and tried to rely on the 3-point shot, and they were ice cold in that dept. And after winning 3 in a row the Heat could smell blood and with all their veterans and Wade, they were not going to lose.

Remember, the Mavs were up 2-0 in the series. In Game 3, they were up 13 with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter but lost to Miami. Then, the Heat just gained momentum and blew past the Mavs. The more aggressive team won the NBA championship and please don't blame the officials. The Mavs players didn't blame any officials and they blamed themselves for the loss because they were so close to winning it all. If they had won Game 3, the series would've been over. No NBA team has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit and the Mavs just lost their chance this year.

YES! I have been watching basketball for over 20 years. It was one of the worst officiated finals series in history. It was so lopsided it isn't funny. Miami heat fans for the most part are dillusional if they think Miami actually won the series fairly and that a team like thiers was destined to win the Finals. I'm not saying that wade and shaq are horrible players but they were clearly favored by the refs in this series. Wade shot a total of 97 free throws for the 6 games in the finals, that in itself should tell you how the games were being officiated. Yes that mavs were up 2-0, but the NBA could not have had a 4-0 sweep for Miami they needed ratings and revenue. Ratings were up 16% for the finals this year compared to last year. Which is one of the reasons neither the Pistons or Spurs made it to the finals this year. David Stern could not afford another finals ratings debaucle! That is why the league continues to change rules both offensively and defensively, to speed up the game. They have already made 7 rule changes for next season. I hate to say it but yes i believe NBA basketball the one sport i love and follow religiously "fixes" games to favor the league. There are many more factors involved, but i am not sure if anyone else cares or understands everything involved.

Anyone watching the whole series know the officiating was favoring Miami. And at this level with the competition so good it's very difficult to play against the officials, David Stern, media and the Heat. I agree the officials stole the series from the Mavs but Dirk disappearing act put the period behind that sentence. You're right taking nothing from Wade this is a playoff game even the greatest player in the world was not fouled that much.

excuses, excuses, excuses. i am sick and tired of hearing about this. Anyway the mavs still did get calls like the one where Haslem and i think posey grabbed the rebound and they called a travel bogus call that was no travel. (i think that was game 6) They couldn't get a call because there was a couple calls that could have gone either way except one which was the final play in game 6 where Payton fouled Terry.
Avery's time, what do you mean the refs are human and they will make mistakes so they didn't even think about Avery's time to win yet.
Oh yea the best team won too.

Yes, indirectly. In the same way the officials cheated the Detroit Pistons...they call a foul every single time Wade drives to the hoop in the 4th quarter. It's ridiculous. Even if Wade initiates the contact, the foul always goes to his defender. It makes them impossible to beat in the 4th quarter.
Having said that, the Pistons and Mavericks both have themselves to blame as well. They were both clearly superior teams to the Heat, but missed open shots, didn't execute on offense, and thus left the door open for the officials to give the games to Wade in the 4th.

No, officials cheat non-superstars out of glory. If a superstar makes it look like a foul or starts arguing calls, they usually get their way. Look at Shaq he travels a lot and only called for it very often and when a referee keeps getting on his case, the people blame the referee. That does not make any sense. Also if you watch when Shaq is playing and a shot is taken, you will notice that a lot of the time he will shove the people around him, that's illegal

No you can't base your series on one call, If it was like that then San Antonio would be the champions because they cheated them off they gave a lot of calls to the Mavericks and i didn't see SA complain about the calls.

i dont think that officials cheated mavs. They dont have any experienced players who played before in finals. so they dont know how to play with experienced players. Miami has experienced palyers like shaq, payton, alonzo, etc.,
This year dallas was not in the finals to deserve the championship. they just came to lose.
