I'm sure it wouldn't be good for the baby, but would it also feel uncomfortable? I saw a woman laying on her stomach and she was about 6 months pregnant so I was curious...

Back when I was pregnant and I wanted to lay on my stomach, I used to go to the beach and dig a hole and then I would stick my belly in the hole and I could lay on my stomach. Hubby thought I was a bit kooky but it felt very good to be able to do it....

laying on her stomach will not hurt the baby. the baby is well protected by all the amniotic fluid, its kind of like a protected bubble. the only thing that would hurt the baby is if the woman got a hard blow to the abdomen. but i do know that when i was that far into my pregnancy, laying on my stomach was very uncomfortable.

It wouldn't hurt the baby at all but probably wouldn't be all that comfy for the pregnant woman.

These babies are made to nestle inside in such a protective manner that it would take much, much more than laying on your stomach to harm it.

Not only that, if the baby isn't happy, after 7 months or so, they kick and hit until you change position.

I'm nine months pregnant and spent about 1/2 hour on my stomach today so my husband could rub my sore back! I had to put pillows under my chest and pelvis so there was room for my HUGE belly on the couch and it was kind of uncomfortable, but it was worth it for that backrub. I can't sleep that way though.

It will not hurt the baby if you laid on your stomach. I would have to think twice about it at 6 months. Don't know how she done it, but I guess anything is possible.

Nothing major should happen. There are some women that can only sleep comfortably on their stomaches. For me, it was on my side with 3 pillows between my legs and 5 underneath my head...lol

if she just laid down on her stomach, probably nothing... may be uncomfortable, have difficulty breathing or holding her urine, depending on where the baby was positioned. I slept on my stomach most of my pregnancy, didn't hurt me or the baby.

Nothing.

Babies are well protected in there, even if their mothers were to fall, hard, on their stomachs.

The things that women find uncomfortable vary, but my OB always told me that I'd be too uncomfortable to stay in any potentially dangerous position long before it caused any harm to my babies.
