Sorry to hear the disappointing news. If I were you I would rush down to the county social welfare office and apply for general relief and food stamps right away. Well, looky here: if you keep playing, eventually, you'll owe more money than your life is worth, and someone will flip a coin to decide if they want to even bother keeping you alive any more.
Stop gambling. you're not good at it - you owe a lot of money.
Pay off the debt, and take a good long look at your life. You can do better. I'm with you - and so are a million others.

I know a 1000 dollars is a lot of money and would have due respect for it. The first thing to do is to learn what money is; if you do enough work to pay your way and liven up your ideas that will go a long way towards solving your 'play' problems.

If you really don't think you can stop call your local church and ask them for a gamblers anonymous. To the people you owe money - pay them and don't play cards anymore. Live at the church or get a second job to occupy your time.
