Is there any luggage storage available to tourists in the London Underground? I'll be travelling around the UK and would like to be able to store my suitcase during the day when I'm wandering around.

Most maínline train stations have "luggage lockers" but because of security risks, these are not the ones where you walk up and pop some coins into a locker.

Look for the signs for "Left Luggage" or the suitcase symbol and it will direct you to a counter or a shop located within the train station. It will cost around GBP5 per item per 24 hours (or part), and it is scanned (like airport security). You will be given a ticket which you need to get your bag back - lost tickets cost GBP15.

The one at Paddington is quite useful, as its also the start of the Heathrow Express, but as mentioned, most mainline train stations have this facility (underground stations dont, because of space and security).

Your hotel reception may offer this service free, so ask when you check out.

Not on the Underground stations.

However you can store luggage at some mainline stations and these have undergound connection.
Also at Victoria Coach station.

there is no luggage storage in the London Underground. One of the main reasons is because unattended luggage is treated as suspicious and can potentially be a threat to the public. Unfortunately, you will have to leave it in your hotel.

There are facilities to leave luggage at the main train stations such as Euston. Look on their website and it gives you the location of the lockers and such.
