Frankly I believe that would be a foolhardy idea to try. I'm no expert on Chinese law, but I do know that certain forms of protest are not legal, such as flag burning. China has come a great distance from the type of society it once was, but make no mistake, they are not a democratic one.

At best, you might be deported and at worst, arrested and held indefinately. Don't screw around in a foreign country

Thanks for your information Petermaxey.
It is understandable that China always thinks that Taiwan is part of their land . They separate only because their heads had different doctrines . So they became hostile brothers during the Mao period. Now their relation has changed . They like father (China ) and Son ( Tai Wan) .That's why they don't like others to interfer their family affairs. I would like to ask anyone of you, will you be angry or will you mind if someone support your son to do against you? Or will you be happy and allow people to support your son to seperate from you? Therefore I think outsiders should avoid involving in their disputes and it is wise to keep quiet in order to protect your own safety.
Keep in mind what Petermaxey advise you!!!

the situation in china isn't as strict as some of teh people take it to be. When i went back last summer, people were talking about the government just like people talking about the government here. As long as u dont hold a protest or have the "bush jokes" or the bumper stickers or anything else that "encourages others" to join your "protest". its fine. and also, running up to a police officer and saying "Hu Jing Tao sucks" is also not alloewd. ^_^
