I was 16. My mom gave me extra money in the fall and the spring to get a few things. Everything else came out of my allowance.

15 or 16 worked what ever i could mowed lawns raked leaves walked dogs did good for the time made 30 to 40 bucks a weekend that was back in the 80s

when i was 12 i'd get dropped off at the mall w/ some cash to pick up a few pieces and then at 14 my parents would give me their credit cards for actual shopping shopping like for back to school.
