You think about what you've done right. Like i gave up drinking 17 years ago. Like I have cut way down on sugar. Like I drink tea instead of soda now. And then you move to counting the blessings you can notice: my friend and I are both healthy. Our two cats like each other. They take great care of us. I have air conditioning. My twelve-speed bicycle works, and I can go 22.4 miles on it and not breathe hard. I can see out of both eyes. I get a single, three-dimensional image. I can hear in stereo. I have a massive music library. I have half the people in South Portland, Maine, as friends. I know I can get whatever problems I might have fixed if I just sit down and think it through for a few minutes. I can help other people NOT be depressed, even when they think they are. I sneak in on them on a subliminal level like in this answer, and before they know it they give up being sad and lost and just go totally numb until they fall asleep and when they wake up they feel better and this begins the end of their depression. If they are sitting with me in our living room, I drone on and on about life in general and before they know it they're sound asleep. When they wake up they feel refreshed and ready to tackle all the stuff they probably put there in the first place. When you get to my age (63), all you want is your memory and your health. If you happen to have a little spending money and food in the kitchen, then you truly are blessed. If you also have a sense of humor, then you can help to heal others. Perspective. Growing pains. Nothing as important as depression. People toss that word around so freely. Sometimes you can be bummed out only because you can't figure out what to do next. I tell people to say to heck with it. Or you can pick your own words to say the same thing. The main reason I am happy is because alcohol didn't kill me, I didn't lose my mind from drinking it, and all the anxiety that came from re-meshing with society is finally gone. Whenever you get a handle on what you really want for yourself, you start to feel solid again, instead of split off to one side of what most people would agree is the real world, &c. Well, here is a glimpse of someone who has got his marbles back and has a life again. I am hoping your life will turn for the better if you're having a rough time right now. I am also sending you good vibes from South Portland, Maine, here in the U.S.A. and hope you have a great summer! - Chris.

I am happy because i just am.. there is not really an explanation for that. maybe because when people are secure in themselves and desire not much in the way of material possessions it lefits burdens that are put on us by society thus to make us feel inadequate...

misery needs company .. my theory is that life only gets better and the crapppy tings that happen to us, is only for some personal guidence and manifestations ..
crawl outta the dark and see the light of your own soul.. make a selfless sacrifce to the universe..

My exams have just finished, I'll definitely pass this year and I get to go to university next year. I feel great appreciation for my friend and I won't have to see the people I don't like anymore.

To me, it's a realization of safety and comfort. We realize it less than we should because it is a continuous feeling. I'm happy though. :-))
