Alright, for all you Anime fans out there, who likes the cute anime?
Everyone seems to talk about "Ghost in the Shell," and "Cowboy Beebop," which are great shows, but does anyone like the cute ones too, like "Azumanga Diaoh," "Fruits Basket," and "Full Metal Panic, Fummofu?" Please tell me i'm not the only one who likes the useless anime! :O

I'll have to say, I'm not always the one for the fluffy stuff, but I see it once in a while. I like the action stuff. And, you spelled bebop wrong. It's Cowboy Bebop. not Cowboy Beebop. I like that series a lot.

Here's 2 examples:
Ghost In The Shell, you had this on your list. I have seen the first two seasons, and it's a pretty damn good anime, no doubt.
I have a feeling that anime is based on the anime, not the fan base. Let's face it, you are going to see a crappy naruto fan fic come floating by more then you are a GITS one(For you non GITS people, GITS means Ghost In The Shell) I also think this is a more talked about one because of it's complex plots.
Throughout the first season, it brought up the term "Standalone Complex" Which is a bit complicated because it interwines itself throughout the season. For a bit of refrence, Standalone complex means a theoretical mental complex that arises when groups or individuals engage in seemingly organized or coordinated behavior when, in reality, each is acting on unique personal motivations."
A bit complicated yes?
For some anime viewers, this is so complicated that they just don't want to deal with it, others, they understand and it really unfolds. This in turn, explodes, and people are talking about it constantly because it makes sense. For myself, I had a helluva time talking to people about it because its so neat. And I also thought that the references it made was pretty neat.
A bit off topic, but heres another example based somewhat on a fan base.
Take Fullmetal Alchemist. That has a huge fanbase with all those little fangirls squealing with delight about Edward. That is one reason that it is so popular. Not to be mean or anything, but the fangirl thing bugs me a lot.
Back to my subtopic. Another reason everyone talks about that anime is because of the anime itself. It's a great anime with plot twists, cliffhangers, deaths, and other things that really make it worth watching. I'm not a fangirl myself, but a watcher who takes the finer aspects of the anime, not the facts that fangirls feast on. This anime is good no doubt.
Alright, I probably angered some people, Sorry 'bout that.
I don't believe that Fruits basket is useless, I haven't seen it myself, due to lack of time*coughworkcough* but, I think that people have just passed over the anime for reasons unknown.
This probably didn't answer your question, but the anime isn't useless, it just isn't seen too much because of all the anime that is fanbased *coughnarutocough* and therefore takes the spotlight. I would like to see more of the ones you dubbed "Useless anime" and I do plan on watching fruits basket.
Sorry for wasting your space on this topic, but I thought that I should mention the reason some of these anime are not seen.
I should add that I have seen plenty of Fruits Basket stuff. I have seen the Manga go off the shelf too, so, some of the fluffy anime just isn't seen.

I love them too! Fruit Basket is good...(the comics version is longer thean the anime) I also love fullmetal alchemist, hunter X hunter, Samurai deeper kyo, Naruto....etc

I don't really watch cute anime, they just don't suit my taste. One cute anime that I kinda like would be Crayon Shin-chan. That show cracks me up quite a bit.

OMG! it's only 13 epsiodes long but it's soooooooooo cute!!!! u can watch it at youtube.com I ♥ Yuki Sohma!!!!!!! i think he and Tohru are adorable together!!!! but i know it's kyo she picks............
