What's up with the association with lesbianism and communism lately? Well, maybe not lately, but I've heard more about it recently than ever before. What's up with that?

I started hearing it on here, actually, and then I read something in an article, I wish I could remember the website. Then some folks I go to school with were discussing it, so it's been a brief thing, really.

I'm a lesbian and i support Marx's work to an extent, i agree with his historical analysis of society. and the fact that the church uses religion to blind us from seeing what is really happening in the world. which in turn makes us docile and listen to them, its nothing but another way to oppress and control our minds so that we do not realize that we are being taken advantaged off......
but the whole communal idea wont work now, it might work if the entire world caught up with Russia and china but unfortunately (or fortunately) they didn't, so i don't agree with that part of his work
i saw it from this post a few days ago too.... this pig headed guy who referred to us lesbians who trespassed into his lawn as communists. pretty shallow.
its probably the only way to associate us with something bad (IE: communism) that he knew how to...... since he fought in the war and all, so i guess you don't need to bother about it too much
i know i didn't answer your question much , but just trying to demonstrate that communism isn't all that bad. just that its a deviation from the norm so people tend to associate it with another kind of deviation (IE: gay and lesbian lifestyle) and also to let you know that Marx was horrendously misrepresented and he doesn't deserve the hatred that he is getting from the world now..... hope this helps ;)

I'm sure some lesbians are communist---Russia, China---might even be a few in the USA. Along with communist bankers, carhops, doctors, mailmen. I really don't see where the two would be very compatible.

Well, I heard the lesbian/communist thing on here too, and all I can say is I'm a lesbian and I'm definately not communist!
