What was that statue that fell over in Return of the Jedi? Was that Palpatine?

It was the statue of Emperor Palpatine on the planet Coruscant. This was only seen in the Special Edition Return of the Jedi as an added scene for the final sequence after the destruction of Death Star II.

Yes it was Palpatine, and it is in the Special Edition only.
