I think if you are making an earnest effort to find a new job, then a woman will understand. However if you are unemployed for a very long time and are still looking for that dream job in Nuclear basket Weaving, then you may be in trouble.

I have found good bit of how the lady feels depends on several factors. Are you in and out of work regularly? Did you quit, get terminated for cause or laid off from your previous job? Are you putting as much effort into finding a new one as you did working the old job? The answers to these questions can have a great deal to do with how a lady feels about you being between jobs. Good luck on the job search I'm looking for a second one myself.

How long without a job? If you've had a decent job for awhile and lost it recently, it's not a problem. If you're jumping around between bagging at the local grocery store or flipping burgers, they may not look to kindly on that.

Depends on how and when you lost your job...If you got laid off a month ago and are consistantly applying and interviewing for other jobs, then no, but if you quit or got fired more than a month ago and haven't even found a temp job to make ends meet, then probably.

If they can sit on you situation they'll be happy. Don't assume a woman is going to go out with you for your genius unless of course your genius is behind denim walls in which case who cares. Take it for what it is, even if its only for her.
I hope this answer just changed a life. Peace.

only if they are trying to date you. Most women want a man that's some what established ...So GO fill out your resume and find a job!
You know you should tell more of why you think that. like did they start calling you "Bum".."moocher" etc.? Or are you just assuming?

Son, women can't respect a man who doesn't keep himself.
A lot of this, I feel, is a carry over from my generation when women stayed at home and the man made the living.
Besides, we women like to have you buy the fries.

YES! not stupid, just lame. even a job at McD's is trying. if you sit your butt at home all day while the gal works, that is not going to fly for very long with any woman.
