I truly believe that it depends on the artist. There are some "true" hip hop artist that always make good quality music, but then there are some the exploit people especially women in general and should never be considered "entertainment." However, the same can be said for rock there are individuals that create wonderful music hard, soft, alternative, etc...but his genre can also leak into harsh areas. This genre to can exploit people as well. I guess it depends on the listener and what they are willing to except as entertainment.
