ive heard people say that they are some form of energy, but why do most of them have clothes on? are there clothes part of that energy?

Yes, I believe in them & most people I know claim to have encounters as well.
Spirits do have to draw on energy, which is why lights can flicker or short out when they appear. When they cannot draw enough energy, you may only see a partial apparition, or the ectoplasm only.
As for the question on clothing, a spirit is said either to wear what they were wearing at the time of their death, or another theory is that when you die you are able to choose what form you wish to take (IE: most taking the form in whih they appeared at their best).

I believe in ghosts. What made me realize I believed in them was one day, I was coming back to work at night. I work in a group home, so I'm there 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Anyhow, I was bringing a girl home and it was dark out. Anyhow, as we rounded the house, my bedroom faces the front of the house and my bedroom light was on. I remember noticing it because I was frustrated because I didn't remember why I left it on. It was literally a minute and a half before I ended up in my room again and the light was off. That's why I believe in ghosts.

Yes for sure... why... because when my mom married my step dad ( 2 years after his late wife died ) We started smelling perfume in the car that was hers.. they bout it just 3 days before she died.. And i swear she would walk past the front door of the house. it was just like something passing by fast could not really see what the heck it was.. But i would get the feeling something is there looking at me and it was just like zoom it is there and gone.. and sometimes she even would make a mark on the bathroom mirror while we were in the shower so we would know she is there! that could be explained but cleaned the mirror before we got a shower and a mark still shows up and is gone the second we say something. once the house burnt down and we built a new one on the same lot it was all gone.. only thing we had then was a strange noise upstairs every year for about 2 3 minutes.. it was not around her anniversary of her death it was on there wedding anniversary.. when my step brothers son was a little boy no one told him about his grandmother pat but the one day he was 3 years old he was in the living room talking up a storm.. i asked him who are you talking to he said grammy.. now my mom was nanny to him.. so i said don't you mean nanny he said no grammy i said what is grammys name.. he said pat... so yes i believe i have seen it for myself that there are defiantly stuff that goes on. rather it be personal or whatever. but it is very strange and i used to be scared but now i feel lucky sometimes when stuff happens i think she is finally in peace with herself and is resting well.

oh **** yes.. but I believe in a whole load of other crap (I never see..) I mean Jesus, the virgin Mary... I think sometimes people get trapped on earth (can't 'find the light' .. walk the path, man) and ****, that's gotta suck, right? I wish my ole gramma'd come up behind me right now and bite me on the ole bum! I sure hope there is something happenin' after death, man.. (ghosts, heaven, hell.. anything..)

Yes absolutly... I have actually tried hunting them... but my dang proton pack keeps discharging when I don't want it to... thus not alowing the trap to function either... resulting in alot of non caught Ghosts...

I believe that there are spirits that roam the earth. I also believe in guardian angles, spirit guides, and many other fascinating things like that.

i believe in paranormal activity.. but not specifically the normal ghosts that people would think of.. i believe that there are souls still wandering earth, but they aren't white, and don't say BOO. . .i can't explain what i believe, but then again, nobody can explain the paranormal!
