when i wash them in the sink --they stretch
so big an amizon can wear them

Wash them in cold water definately. The add your soap and scrub! Be sure to get all the soap out and rinse! you may also soak them if you want. Then lay them out to dry on a drying rack or a clothesline or even a hanger.

Buy one of those net bags that zip up and just throw them in the washer.
or use a small sink-sized scrub board.

Cold water
Drop of Sunlight
Agitate
rinse in cold water and let hang dry
Don't ring too vigourusly
Make sure you rinse well
