I have always loved The Tigers----even when they lost 119 games 3 years ago.

I am thrilled they are playing so well.

For me, if they finish in 2nd place I'd be one happy camper!!!

I realize The White Sox are really the team to beat in the AL.

I hope they dont fall apart in the 2nd half.

I dont think they will.

Jim Leyland has them playing well and believing in themselves.

Personally I would love for them to win the division and go all the way---but that is expecting too much.

I, for one, am simply enjoying this right now.

For the first time in many years it is actually fun to watch The Tigers play ball.

I think the Tigers are doing great. They should definitely make the playoffs, all they need to do is go .500 in their remaining games and they'll win 94!
They have a good mix of solid veterans, exciting young talent, good starting rotation, and solid bullpen.
It is an exciting time to be a Tigers fan!
It's just sad Trammell is not here to enjoy it.

What's to think??? They have the best record in baseball and seem to have put it all together this year. They will win their division. How far they will go in the playoffs will depend largely on whether or not they can continue their excellent pitching and timely hitting. Let me put it another way. I am an avid Red Sox fan, and I fear the Tigers more than the Yankees!!

I hope you agree.

They have the best record in the majors, and are focused, disciplined, and hungry for a pennant. Leyland is the lead runner for manager of the year, and I do not see them falling off. They will be in the playoffs come October, either as the AL Central champions, or as the Wild Card team.

I think they're a good team, not a great team. They've played well above their potential. I think they will fall off in the second half of the season and not make the playoffs.

Im in disbeleif right now.

the sox win, yet they just win more.

I ask myself: "is that even possible?"

I barely knew them last year. I mean what's a "Tiger"?
There's no way they can keep this up, not even all the steroids in the world. Right now they are playing with fire. The fire is the white sox.

and when you play with fire,

you lose.

I think those young pitchers need to keep it up the next time the other teams have to face them. Many times that's when the league catches up with them.

They're definately the come back team of the year.

If they make it into the playoffs, the won't win a series.
