WHEN I STARTED THE PATCH MY DOCTOR TOLD ME THAT YOU PUT ONE ON ONCE A WEEK AND THERE IS ALWAYS AN EXTRA IN CASE ONE DOESN'T STICK,RIGHT? WELL SHE SAID THAT ITS NOT HEALTHY TO DO ALL THE TIME BUT IT HAS BEEN KNOWN TO WEAR ONE ON YOUR OFF WEEK SO THAT YOU WONT HAVE A PERIOD. SO AS LONG AS YOU DON'T DO IT EVERY MONTH YOU WILL BE FINE!

You can keep using your patch. Don't skip it for a week like normal. This should keep you from getting your period. I know you can also do this with the pill. However, just to make sure that this is completely safe with the patch, I would suggest calling a doctor and asking if he/she would recommend this.

If you want to do that, then take a cycle of oral contraceptives in the middle of your menstrual cycle. It will prolonged your menstrual cycle till you finishes the last pill (i.e. one month later). If your patch have to be changed once a week, then don't paste the next patch & change to OCP.

Man, the people here are such rude idiots.

You've gotten some good advice here. Continuing with the patch will postpone your period. Contact your doctor just to make sure you don't have any problems with it.

Not too sure about the current pills you are taking, but from experience, I'm pretty sure your gynecologist is able to prescribe some pills for you to take before your trip for your mensus to either come earlier or skipping it for a month.

Yea it sucks to have your period on vacation. Hey but I heared that the patches and pills are bad. They rise your blood pressure and cause you to get fatter and trust me it 's not worth it. Good luck :)!

just do not remove the patch or replace it with the new one without skipping the week you are suppose to start.
