Let me make a statement about Lily up there first and her comment " You may want to be a better ex and maybe he will want to pay his payments" WTF!!!! I can't believe that even popped up in her head.. someone has obviously not been in this situation and should not even be answering this question because she has not basis to base her comments on..
I have never received child support for my 8year old son... I got fed up with him just wanting to have all the fun with him and him trying to act like whenever he had the time and wanted to showoff for him he would should up but never wanted to pay for his well being. I stopped allowing him to be apart of his life... If he doesn't have money to pay you he is def. not going to have money to take you to court to fight you for visitation problems... and if he gets a wild hair up his rear and does, then the judge is just going to tell you that he needs to be allowed in his life and yell at him to pay his support.

Move away and not tell him your where abouts - that is what my partners ex did to him.
He still has to pay child support although he is not allowed to know where the children are!!!
I think that the system is wrong - he should have no access to the children if he is not willing to pay!!
There would have to be a legal way around it - Child Support Agency would have some pull!
Good Luck

No, Visitation and Child Support are two separate issues, when I got my divorce the judge told me even if my ex don't pay he would throw me in jail in my state if you are 90 days behind they will take his license away, his passport will be taken away and if its over 500 behind you can get his state and federal tax refunds, call your local child support office and start a case against him, have them trace his assets if he owns a home car or has anything with money they can get the court to seize his assets

The custodial parent must continue to allow visitation with the child despite failure of the non-custodial parent to pay child support. Although this may be very frustrating to some, if the custodial parent "frustrates" the right of the non-custodial parent to visit with the child, the non-custodial parent could ask the court to change custody of the child based upon this frustration of visitation even though s/he is delinquent in payment of child support.

Nope. Depending on the laws in your state, he may be enough past due that a felony would be on his record. If he gets picked up after being behind so many $$, he may go to jail. In my state (Kentucky) he would go to jail and work until the amount is paid off. Good luck-there's so many woman (and men) in your situation it's unreal.

your kids arent an ivestment and he doesnt have to pay to see them. taking him to court might be the only way to keep him from them if he is not a suitable father and the children are not safe being around him. good luck on that and sorry to hear about the broke daddy who wont pay.

Keeping your kids away from their dad is only hurting them. They love both their parents and don't know about child support. Take him back to court but you shouldn't use your kids as a weapon.

No. He isn't paying for the right to see his children. Those are actually two separate issues. If he isn't paying his support you will need to go back to court.

Child support has nothing to do with visitation. What is your problem? Why would you want to keep your children away from their dad? Who are you trying to punish? Maybe if you would be a better ex he would feel like being on time with the payments.
