The only answer, no matter where you live, is to have a go at whatever craft you are interested in. The hardest step is the first step, so pick out a project, and see it through to completion.

there are 3 or 4 michaels art/craft stores in las vegas, a really big one in north vegas. michaels.com has some cool crafting ideas for different budgets and age groups. have fun!
