A notary does not confirm the information contained in a document or the authenticity of a document. A notary makes no statement about the information in the document or the accuracy of the information. All a notary can do is confirm your signature on the document. That you were the person who actually signed it. They witness you signing the document and then they sign and seal it. If you print and sign a pay stub print out. All a notary can do is sign - indicating that you are the person who signed the statement. If you need something to prove your wages and the pay stub print out is not enough - you will need to get your employer to put something in writing on their letter head.
