I'm looking at a Holden Commodore or Ford Falcon. Are there any specific problems with these cars? Do u recommend a newer one with high kilometres or older one with low kilometres?

Depends on the motor...if it's a 2.3 v-6 or ghia motor, I would definitely pull the heads off, have them milled, and replace all top-end gaskets and timing gear set. Otherwise, should run forever. Great motors except for the leaky top end. I'm a true believer of the gear drive cam rather than the chain. You just have to use steel gears rather than fiber. It should have a weber or holley-weber so the carb will ONLY need an accelerator pump. Otherwise, indestructable.

What is low km on the falcon and what year? Is it a sprint or futura model? The value of the Falcon in good condition could be pretty high if it is low, actual mileage. I am partial to 1964-1965 Falcons so my answer is biased already. I don't even know what a Holden is. Good luck with whatever you decide.
