As you are under the age of 18 it's actually illegal for you to bring cigarettes either into France or back home with you. There is every chance that Customs will xray your luggage and possibly search it. The other problem you'll have is, just when do you think you'll get the opportunity to smoke in France. You'll be with your school group and the teachers will be keeping a close eye on what all the kids are doing. You won't be allowed to smoke on the coach, or during trip breaks, and certainly not in your accommodation. Smoking is your choice, but just be aware that it might be a bit difficult to get away with for a few days.

People used to smuggle cigarettes and they wanted the fastest boat to outrun the Coast Guard. Actually the practice originated in Italy.

the first boat made like that was sponcered by a cigaret company. then they started making more of them and they were then used not only for racing but smugling cuban cigars and cigarets. i saw a show about it on history or discovery channel. you could go on there websites to find out more. also do a google search. all i know is that they a long fiberglass hull boats that are usualy powered by twin v8 motors put 1 beside the other with one a little farther foward to reduce bouncing on chop
