I believe it could be the Strand bookstore in New York City, home of the 18 miles of books!

I am not sure, but I'm thinking either the Strand in NYC or the Tattered Cover bookstore in Denver, CO--it is 5 floors packed to the brim with books.....

There's a store in Toronto called the World's Biggest (or is it largest) Book Store, don't know if it actually is though. It's located on Yonge Street, I do believe,,

In terms of physical space, it used to be Powell's in Portland OR.

Things may have changed -- but according to their website (listed below) it is still the largest independent book store in the world.
