Who old do you have to be to get a permit in CA?

I believe just 15, though I think there might have been a law passed that you have to be 15 1/2.

You also have to have attended at least one driver's ed class (in the classroom) and one behind the wheel lesson with an instructor. The peopel at the DMV will ask you for the papers to verify that you've attended the classes.

drivers ed sucks tho.

15.5, but your parents have to consent.
