I know this might be for kids but it works: Go to yahooligans.com. go to "Ask Earl" and If you can't find the question "How do I create a website?", ask and keep checking back just in case there is actually an answer. He will probably tell you to go to a website that I forgot the name of. It tells you how to create a website, so follow the instructions and give your friends the URL so they can visit!

First, you should find a keyboard that has puncuation keys... good luck on trusting someone to do it for you. Go to the local computer store and ask. I'm sure they would be glad to give you the awfull truth. It takes money to host a web-page. It won't be an impossible amount but you still have to pay for the upkeep and space.
You can buy many different kinds of software at BestBuy or places like that. It's very easy. You still have to get a domain and hosting though.

I could do it for you later this week, I need the practice. Something simple right? Contact me. There are free hosts such as geocities.com and angelfire.com but you wouldn't have your own domain. You might get your domain to refer it to that host, such as tk.tk is a website that lets you register your own free .tk domain. Only catch is it expires if it isn't viewed enough times. I tried starting a web design business a while back, they usually do run a lot of money but a simple design shouldn't take all that many hours of backbreaking work to make. If you do want a .com, .net ending domain that will cost about ten to twelve dollars a year to register and transfer it to your free host.

I can help you do it by walking you through the process, once the site is created. I just need the images you made of how you want it, separate each portion that you want to do different things in separate images.

i make corporate websites for a living, so if u need anything, just ask me through AIM (might not answer fast during workdays though). Free advice, and free everything else as long as it's not too complicated and you're not making money out of it. My s/n is toannd.
