I usually have a list...at the top it says my name, address, etc. in the resume format (top center of the page, same as resume page) then list the references and my affiliation (if it is personal or professional).

Good luck!

Whenever you put "references available upon request" you better have them with you as well when you go to the interview. There is a special format and they have to be on a separate page. Usually its got to have about three to four professional references and couple personal. Just make sure you tell your references in advance that you will be using them as one so they are not shocked when people start calling them.

Personally, I don't recommend putting references available upon request.

It's not a mandatory item. Just have them available.

For an example of what a resume reference page should look like check out the Resume Reference Sample Page below:

Unless you are interviewing for a professional position, you should bring names, phone numbers and addresses of references. In an interview, you should also mention their relationship to you.

At an interview, you may be asked to complete an application, which is a legal document, and if you lie you can be busted.

If you are applying for a higher-level professional position, then a letter of reference is often helpful.

I'd keep it simple, in the same basic format and on the same paper as your resume. Just list them in either most relevant or alphabetical order (by last name), and make sure your info is on there. Good Luck!

First off, just type a normal question, not that mess you put in.

If they request your references, you supply it on a separate page. Simply type names, companies, addresses and contact numbers/e-mail addrs for each reference and submit it to the hiring company.

? I'm not sure what you're asking, but "references upon request" means that if they want references, then they can ask you for them later. It's just so you don't have to list any on your resume.

it is simple. just type refrences available upon request. they will contact you for your refrences. personally, i think that you should put your refrences because it shows that you are very prepared. basically when you put REFERENCES AVAILABLE ON REQUET, it is practically saying "hi, i am too lazy to get refrences and you shouldn't hire me since i am unprepared"
have your refrences ready for interview and warn your refrences ahead of time so they know exactly what to say.

good luck!!

I don't know, but if that's how you spell the word request when you hand in your resume, don't expect them to hire you...
