Ganguro: originated from the Shibuya and Ikebukuro districts; girls have deeply tanned skin, bleached hair, platform shoes, and brightly colored outfits. They like lots of bracelets and necklaces, hibiscus flower pins, and white lipstick. These girls typically don't do well in school and like to party, which may be an expression of revolt against society.
Other types, if you want to research:
Harajuku: originates from Harajuku shopping district, where teens have wild hairstyles and mix normally incompatible clothing, along with anime-ish hair
Gothic Lolita: often hang out in Harajuku, girls wear Victorian style clothing, elaborately constructed of lace, ribbons, etc., which are usually black/white; started by the Jrock star Mana (of Malice Mizer)

Well, it depends on how old you are. Sorry you're getting advice from a girl but i have guy friends and know the general opinion-its fine if you don't wear makeup, it shouldn't bother them unless they're an ***. Remember, makeup is made to enhance your natural features, not hide them. Also, always remember that you are wearing makeup to make YOURSELF feel a little more confident if you need it, not impress someone else. If you feel you don't need makeup, you definitely do not have to wear it! P.S people that wear too much makeup like blush and foundation starting from teen years, they will later on suffer from bad skin when they are older, because no matter how much you cleanse it still clogs your pores and gives you rougher skin.

harajuku. it is actually a place in japan. a district where all the teens hang out. other than that, harajuku is not a residential area. there's too many industrial buildings in the district.
