No at the time when i was trying to get pregnant my husband smoked pot (he quit) and i still got pregnant.
I don't think that is the reason why. Maybe you are just not having sex on the days when you can get pregnant.
It did take me almost a year to get pregnant though.
Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating.
If you don't become pregnant within or a lil over a year then maybe you should see a doctor.
Just stop worrying and it will happen. When it is meant to happen it will.
After sex hold your legs up for 10 minutes so the sperm dosen't come out quick.
Take folic acid
Take ovulation tests
Good luck to you

Smoking and drinking will hender sperm count but that doesn't mean it will not allow you to get pregnant. My husband smokes and we have 3 kids!
If you are concerned why you are not getting pregnant you and your boyfriend may want to consider getting checked out as to why.
In women, generally is can have something to do with you not ovulating. I did this before my second child. I stopped ovulating, I had periods still but apparently my ovaries were not putting out so to speak. I was put on Clomid to jump start them and now I no longer have a problem.
hope that helps you out! Also keep in mind it can take some people MONTHS if not longer to conceive... so don't give up hope! It can happen!

well there are ovualtion kits you can try im doing them now and they are great !!! you buy them at the drug store or any shop that sells pregnancy stuff... you buy an ovulation kit for 5 days it comes with 5 peeing cups and 5 tests you do one test a day for 5 days at the same time every day.... it sort of looks like a pregnancy test but for ovualtion.... it comes up positive when you are at your highest and that means you are going to ovulate in 24 - 36 hours so you have sex on the day you get a positive and the day after....its worked for alot of women thats just an easier thing to try so that when you know you are most fertile you can plan a romantic evening and just enjoy the night instead of worrying the WHOLE month about making sure that you and your husband had sex on certain days so goodluck and for the future CONGRATS

Yes, both drinking AND smoking can affect a man's fertility.
BUT, that doesn't mean automatically that that's the problem. How long have you been trying? If it's been more than 9 months, you should talk to your doctor about getting things checked out.

Smoking is the number one cause of fertility issues in both men and women and drinking alcohol slows sperm motility (movement).
Obviously, if your partner is drinking and smoking so much that he can't become a father you should take the hint that he shouldn't be a father. Imagine what it would be like to have him drinking and smoking around your tiny little baby and hurting his or her little lungs and heart?

Never listen to hypocrites like Sister Jenerifer B - they are complete idiots who try to put their guilt on others while playing with themselves online all night - lol. Just be you and keep trying - yes drinking and all can pose a problem to have a kid but try having sex in the morning after your period and you will get fat quick - Hugs - Donnie

I'm pretty sure alcohal does lower his sperm count. I'm not sure about Cigs, but I know smoking pot also lowers sperm count.
