why shouldn't there be a "worst" answer category , in addition to "best" answer , on "yahoo answers "?

i think that is a good idea cause they give stupid and ridiculous answers just for the 2 points!And if they are voted for worst answer you should loose 2 points!

Think about it. These people are just looking to make some kind of wrinkle and get comments about it. If there was a worst answer award, people would start competing to get it. Big mistake - instead of yahoo answers, it would be yahoo insults.

True. I think that people who just give 'funny' and obnoxious answers should be penalized. I also think that people should ask more serious questions, like those who post 'polls' about who the worst actor is, or who do you hate more lindsay or ashlee.... I thought this was supposed to help people, but I think WAY too many people are abusing this.

I agree, and brought the issue up myself. It irks me if someone just makes a bad joke or derogatory comment, and says "too bad, you spent 5 points and I got two points for it."
Yahoo needs to revamp it's point and rating system.

Maybe even point deductions, to deter people from posting poor answers.
