There are communities on this planet which have built what you describe. The Amish, for example. However, for the most part, sadly- the strong rule the weak. The meek may inherit the earth, but in the short term it will be in plots six feet by three feet, and six feet deep. Check out the UNCHR about Dafar.
Also, Docters Without Borders says: "After nearly two decades of conflict between the government and the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), an estimated 90-95% of the population in northern Uganda now lives in overcrowded camps for displaced people..."

Unfortunately, no. Albeit that there have been a variety of factors involved, America is an example of why this does not work. We fled oppression, yet created it for other groups of people. People are able to live in harmony for a while, but eventually there will be discord and people will invariably break rules and laws that are set by others. This is the downfall of the independence of human nature.

It hasa been done many times and never has worked. I believe Adam and Eve were alone and one of there first sons died do to random violence. The sad part was it was his brother that killed him. God cleared the land with water leaving a small righteous group and look how that is working out. God even lead the promise people out of Eygpt and that became Isreal and look how good that is going.
It is humanly impossible for peace to remain. You need Godly attributes for this to happen, there for you need to find God's one and ONLY true church.

It's not clear who is being excluded in the question. Who is leaving the people alone? Bears? Other people, right? Some people are going to disagree and fight for control. Communities seem to last when they anticipate conflicts and have resolutions readily available, even if the resolutions are dumb. Leads to predictability and stability, I guess.

where did you get this scenario from? I agree withe the person who asked left alone from whom? bears? gods? merfolk? but seriously. I think it works just great on a small scale. and I disagree with intel knights answer in the fact that he said amazonian and african tribes don't work. ther are several isolated tribes that are happy and work well together with no conflict. it is really when you get many people fighting for scarce resources that you get crime and disfunction

no, i don't think so....because jealousy, hatred, theft, etc, basically, evil still exists......even the world isn't a happy, functional, successful society....there are law-breakers everywhere....not everyone works toward a common goal....like you said, the world is going down the drain....

No, it has been tried over and over. Humans desire power and safety more than freedom.
