I don't think couples fight over money, per se. Couples fight when money is tight. When you have kids and a mortgage and money gets tight, the tension is unbearable. Each spouse feels like they are doing everything that they can and they each want the other to help fix this. It's bad enough when you have no kids, but when you are wondering if you are gonna lose your house or if you will have grocery money so the kids can eat, you will fight about virtually anything - but the cause is financial stress.

I don't think couples fight about love - not after the first few years. I mean, folks can sometimes be insecure in the beginning of a relationship as they get to know one another - people are so different and they way they show love can be too. That can cause a conflict until you work out how to handle each other.

Couples fight about not getting enough attention or the amount of time they spend doing chores or some such. They fight about extended family obligations sometimes or drastically different housekeeping styles and limits. If someone gets bored and starts fooling around, is that what you mean about fighting over love?

I hope this helps! Peace!

Finances are a key factor in most peoples lives. To maintain a certain lifestyle on must be able to build and keep a steay income. Some peoples money values are different. Its important to find out how a person spends their money and saves their money and see what strengths and weekness (or problems) they have with money before beginning a marriage or a seroius relationship where the couples finances are involved. It may also be a issue of power and control. Either way it goes its important to know about each others spending habits before getting too involved
