The best southern rock band ever (great in concert) - The Outlaws - their big song was "Green Grass and High Tides" the blazing triple guitar players really wail and kick azz big time!
Ps - to the guy right above - Ted Nugent isn't really considered Southern Rock - hard rock yes.. but he's the Motorcity Madman - meaning Detroit Michigan

I gew up in the south so all my favorites are southern rockers.....Skynyrd is certainly the kings of southern rock, but I also like 38 Special, Allman Brothers, CDB, Molly Hatchett. etc.
