I'm just wondering. Like, does it damage your arm? I took a typhoid shot... but I mean shots in general. I don't want a damaged arm.. not even 1%.

I've had tetanus shots, smallpox vaccinations and various other shots. Can I swear I haven't even gotten 1% damage? No. But I seriously doubt there's any real problems with damaging your arms. People with torn tendons and ligaments heal with no permanent damage, so it would be my best guess that a simple little tiny, almost miniscule pinprick wouldn't do any noticeable damage.

In fact, I gave blood today, so I must have pretty good faith that needles don't do a lot of damage (providing you're not a heroin addict, I suppose).

I was just hospitalized for a week after surgery. I had a needle/catheter in an arm vein for antibiotics ever 8 hours. and bold drawm from other veins twice a day. I have no scars, visable marks, etc.

After the needle is removed you can get brusing which will eventualy go away. When they remove the needle and aply the cotton and tape use your other hand to put pressure on it for atleast 5-10 minutes and the leave it ther to keep the area clean of bacteria. Tell the nurse about your concerns, there answears will vary, but the more you ask the you learn.

There's not much you can do about this part-An inexperined nurse can increase the amout of brusing. If your get a blood draw, or IV drip from a nurse in a hospital that has a high volume of patients, there much more likely to find a vein and avoid the problems that are concerning you.

depends on what kinds of shots your talking about needles tht are used for injecting drugs such as heroine are exstreemely harmful to you because that needles probably been exposed to meany different arms whitch is possible aids contact cus drug atticts use the same needle over an over and they probably dont even wash it actually your not supposed to reuse a needle at all. but as far as needles go from a docters office theres nothing wroung with themthy inject medicines in to you whitch help your body fight off bacteria and protect your body from illnesses yourbody thanks you everytime you give it a shot from the docters office.

The shot itself does not damage your arm. It is what you are injecting that does the damage. That is why IV drug users have track marks. The drugs do irreversable damage to the arm.

I'm not sure what you are asking. A tetnus shot can hurt if you tense up your arm, and may hurt for a day or so, but damage, I don't think so.

If the shot is administered correctly, there is no reason why it would disfigure your arm. It might be uncomfortable for awhile but it should pass.
