Of course, happens all the time and I'm sorry to say, men will likely never "understand" women and shouldn't try; why? Primarily because we all, men and women alike, have our own minor quirks that make us unique as individuals as well as genders, therefore, while we may learn something specific about one female, something else will be dramatically different with another.
It could easily turn into a waste of energy, time and focus.

I don't think I've ever met a man who "understands" women. Yet people still fall in love all the time. So yes, I think they can.

No man understands any woman. It never stops them, though, from loving them -- it just makes their brain hurt.

Yes I believe so. Us women are very complicated but any man can still love a women whether he 'gets' her or not.

No. Your opinions SHOULD matter in the relationship too. Unless you want to spend most of the relationship "guessing" what's she's thinking, you're not a psychic. Sit down and talk with her, if she doesn't come around, move on to someone who'll listen and respect your opinion.
