I have 2 pc's and i was wondering can you connect a cable modem to each pc in 2 different rooms and will it affect the bandwith speed? thanks

You need a broadband router instead. It makes more sense and will be cheaper then trying to use two modems.

You would need another cable account. You cant run two modems on the same account. There should be plenty of bandwidth on one cable link for two computers unless you have a couple of kids who insist on music and video downloads which are infested to the hilt with spyware and viruses anyway.

get a router plug the modem into the wan port and the computers into the lan ports. the bandwith will be about the same.
