Daytona Beach Shores is about one hour from Orlando. If you are looking for a hotel,we just stayed in the Hawaiian Inn its on the beach and has everything you would want and need rite there. A restaurant, tiki bar by the pool, DJ by the pool, heated pool/spa indoors, and gift shop. The view from every room is ocean front. Its beautiful.

Cocoa can get a little trashy. I'd hit up New Symyrna-- it's sort of on the way to Daytona-- maybe 45 min drive from downtown Orlando. Mad heads surf there, and the younger crowd'll be ill to chill with.

Come to Daytona Beach. It is known as the Worlds Most Famous Beach. And you can drive on the beach too. And it is looking good after all the hurricanes. they are working very hard to fix everything.

I'd check out Clearwater Beach, it's about an hour west of Orlando near Tampa and St. Petersburg.

All of the local suggest Cocoa Beach. I wanted to go to Daytona but the locals all said that it was still not in good shape and Cocoa was far better.

Try heading over to Clearwater Beach. Something always going on. Stop at Shepperd's, across from the Hess, and mini golf.
