I think the shows are pretty similar, but in Amazing Race you don't have to solve clues and crack puzzles unless it's a road block or part of the challenge. Usually it just tells you where to go.

All television is based on other television! But I do think it's wierd that the A is an A like on the Davinci Code, and I think they're also trying to score off some of that hype. (Treasure hunting, codes, etc.)

I think they are very similar, but there are some differences. First, Treasure Hunters get a cell phone and a laptop. Second, - well, that's about it.

It is a rip-off but most TV shows become rip-offs of others anyway until they all get played out.
